St Lucia 2012-15

HDR capture taken on the night of December 27, 2012 of the Moon rising over the Sandals La Toc Beach, St. Lucia on the shores of the Caribbean sea. This photo was taken within minutes of a magnitude 3.9 earthquake in the nearby Atlantic Ocean.

I was also taking a photo during the quake itself but it did not come out quite as sharp as I'd like since the deck we were standing on shook; you can view that photo HERE.

All things considered I really have to hand it to Really Right Stuff for making great quality support systems; their gear stood up to an earthquake!

Photo taken using a Really Right Stuff BGE11-L L-plate and a BH-55 LR Full Sized Ball Head with Lever Release on a Gitzo GT3541LS tripod.

Photo(s) taken with a Canon EOS 5D Mark III using a Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II USM lens at 17mm f/3.2 for 2 seconds at ISO 1000. Edited using Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.0.
